Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health (Travel)

Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
Hours per Week: 36 or 48 (weekly guaranteed)
Number of Openings: 1
Patient Population: Adults (18-65) with behavioral health conditions including anxiety, depression, manic disorders, borderline personality disorder, and suicidal ideation
Unit Details:

• Behavioral Health Unit (BHU)
• 14 beds, average daily census around 7
• Patient ratio approximately 1:6
• Electronic Health Record system: MediTech
• May require floating within a 25-mile radius of the facility
• No call requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• Minimum 2 years of psychology experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
• Mandatory Reporter certification

• Dress code: Scrubs (no unacceptable attire specified)
• No weekend or call requirements
• The unit cares for adult behavioral health patients with a variety of psychiatric diagnoses
• The role may require flexibility to float to nearby locations within 25 miles
