Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed

Unit & Facility Overview

  • Unit: ICU/CVICU (Blended ICU)
  • Beds: 16
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2
  • Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
  • Trauma Level: III
  • Equipment: Baxter pumps
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost
  • Call Requirements: Yes
  • Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit (primary RN), ED holding (as needed)
  • Common Diagnoses/Treatments: STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, CABG, Valve repair/replacement, Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR, Alcohol Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma, CRRT, TCAR & TVAR

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including ICU experience within the last year
  • Experience in Intermediate Care
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

  • Attendance Policy: One call-out allowed per contract; second call-out requires documentation and is reviewed case-by-case
  • Shift flexibility: Candidates should indicate if they are flexible for day or night shifts; no block schedule requests, 48-hour shifts may be considered but not guaranteed

  • Patient care includes managing complex critical care cases with a variety of acute and chronic conditions
