Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Position

Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Provide speech-language pathology services in both acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings.
Caseload shared among all speech therapists covering acute and rehab patients.
Facility is a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center with a 26-bed rehab unit.
Perform bedside swallow evaluations; video swallow studies preferred.
Use TIMS equipment and document using Meditech system.
Schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating weekends preferred but flexible.
No on-call requirements.
Floating between acute care and rehab units as needed.
Dress code: gray scrubs.
Diverse patient population with varied and dynamic caseload.

Required Qualifications

Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Missouri
Minimum 1 year of Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
ASHA Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
HHCCA - De-escalation Skills in a healthcare setting
Assessment of Speech Language Pathologist competencies or training and knowledge regarding hazardous drug risk management per USP 800 standards
