• Unit: K9A - Oncology/Women’s Surgical
• Number of Beds: 24
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 HUC
  • Night Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5
• Equipment: Standard unit equipment
• EMR System: Cerner

Job Requirements

• Licenses: Registered Nurse License (RN)
• Certifications: BLS required; Chemo Certification preferred
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (RN)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Typical Procedures

• Occasional pelvic exams
• Echocardiograms (Echo)
• Thoracentesis

Work Environment & Expectations

• Team-oriented, willing to learn
• Dress Code:

  • RNs: Navy, white, or combination of both
  • CNAs: Galaxy Blue
• Floating: Rare; may float to other med-surg units
• Weekend Requirement: Staff required to work 6 weekend days per schedule
• Call: Rarely required
