Job Description

Work in a 225-bed specialty care hospital with departments including Heart & Vascular, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine & Weight Management, Women's Health, and Pediatrics.
Facility offers premier imaging, surgery, and laboratory services.
Located in the central region of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the largest community in the area.

Position Details

Department: Acute Medical/Surgical
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Rotating
Float Requirements: Occasional to similar units
Patient Population: Adult and geriatric (ages 18 - 125)
Patient Ratios: 5:1 to 6:1
Equipment Used: Telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, Bladder scanner, Dynamaps
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Additional Information

Orientation occurs bi-weekly
Dress code: Galaxy Blue scrubs preferred (Navy acceptable)
Fingernails must be clean, kept at appropriate length, and comply with hand hygiene policy
Tattoos that may be considered offensive must be covered
Excessive jewelry is not allowed
