Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Wilson, North Carolina

Position Details

• Specialty: Med Surg

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Yes – may float as 2nd nurse to Telemetry and Emergency Department
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Patient Ratios: 6:1 up to 7:1
• Number of Beds: 22 beds per unit (3rd and 5th floors)
• EHR System: MEDITECH (experience preferred)
• Equipment: Telemetry

Requirements

• Licensure: Registered Nurse License (RN)
• Certifications: BLS, NIH
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med Surg (higher value between 1+ and >2 years)
• Must Have Skills: MEDITECH experience
• Preferred Experience: Med Surg specialty experience
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher

Additional Information

• Orientation is bi-weekly with upcoming start dates available.
• Facility is a Joint Commission Accredited hospital with services including cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, and surgical services.
• No prior travel experience is explicitly required.
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color; no unacceptable attire specified.
