Travel RN Opportunity – Emergency Room, Chattanooga, TN

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)
• Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee
• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: Parkridge North ER (Free Standing ER, 3 years old as of October 2023)
• Number of Beds: 11
• Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4 patients
• Staffing: Tenured RNs and Critical Care Paramedics only
• Equipment: Respiratory devices (Parapac Plus travel ventilator, Phillips V60 for BiPAP), EKG, GE Cardiac Monitoring, Alaris IV Pumps, Lucas device, Lifepak Defibrillators
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Floating Policy: May float to other ERs within the health system as needed
• Patient Experience: Minimum 1 year ER experience required

Required Skills and Certifications

• Licenses/Certifications: Active RN license in good standing, BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI
• Skills: Basic respiratory care knowledge including breathing treatments, ABGs, BiPAP, and travel ventilator management
• Advanced Skills: Ability to work with minimal oversight

Certifications and Accreditations

• The hospital is certified as a Chest Pain with PCI and Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission (TJC)
