CT Tech Travel Position - McMinnville, Oregon

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in CT/X-Ray specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)

Facility & Unit Information

• Facility Type: 60-bed acute-care, full-service hospital
• Trauma Level: III
• Department: Cat Scan / 726
• Patient Population: All populations, minimal pediatric work
• Typical Volume:

  • Nights: 5-6 CT scans and 8-10 X-rays on average
  • Volume varies with ER census; manageable for one tech with backup support available
• Equipment:

  • GE VCT main CT scanner
  • Discovery RT backup CT scanner
  • GE Difinium collapsible column portables
  • GE XR646 digital X-ray rooms
• EHR Systems: Meditech & Change Healthcare (McKesson PACS)

Role & Responsibilities

• Perform both CT and X-Ray exams independently
• Support inpatient and emergency department exams, including trauma and stroke stabilization and shipping workflow
• Float between CT and X-Ray as needed
• Assist with order prep tasks during slower times
• Work alongside a night ultrasound tech
• Maintain good communication and teamwork with night shift providers and teammates

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Surgery C-Arm and Fluoroscopy is a plus

Orientation & Dress Code

• Weekly orientation sessions on Mondays
• Scrub color: Any solid color scrubs accepted; light blue scrub set provided and laundered by facility
• Unacceptable attire: Open-toed shoes, shorts, etc.

This position offers a manageable workload with supportive backup, ideal for CT Techs comfortable working nights and handling both CT and X-Ray modalities independently.
