Position Details

- Unit: Interventional Spine
- Location Address: 7 Vanderbilt Park Drive, Asheville or 2695 Hendersonville Rd., Arden
- Staffing:
- 13 total staff
- Day Shift: 3-4 RNs and 1 Radiology Tech per location
- Night Shift: Not applicable
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
- Equipment: Vital signs monitors, C-Arm Fluoroscopy, Lead Aprons
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner
Required Skills
- IV starts
- Knowledge of blood thinners and NSAIDs
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in patient assessments
- Experience with procedures such as:
- Cervical & lumbar epidural injections
- Sacral iliac joint injections
- Hip injections
- Medical branch blocks
Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse License (RN)
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NIH Certification
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the RN specialty

- May work in both office locations
- Dress Code: White scrub top with navy scrub pants or navy scrub top with navy scrub pants

Lots of other travelers, nice approachable management that are on the floor in scrubs to help not criticize, updated cerner launch point, staff helps other staff, security is able to protect staff, PD is at hospital
Cons
Charge is only available to help with traumas otherwise they sit at their desk, techs assign pts to ER rooms making very heavy patient loads with multiple traumas with other nurse assignments being very light, not enough policies to protect nurses from verbal and physical violence from patients
