Registered Nurse — Home Health

Overview

Travel RN position in home health
Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Contract length: 13 weeks
Start: ASAP
Guaranteed hours: 40 per week

Schedule

Day shift, 8 hours
Typical hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Weekend/holiday rotation: every 5th weekend and holidays
On-call: 2–3 times per month

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Home Health (2 years of experience)
Home Health experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Driver's License
Experience with Epic

Preferred / Helpful

OASIS certification is a plus
Experience with OASIS
Experience with Epic Remote Client/Remote Care

Role Responsibilities

Home health visits and admissions
Episode management
Coordination of care and doctor calls
Timely documentation in the EMR
Clinical work including wound care, IVs, ports, lab draws, and chronic disease management

Work Conditions

Average caseload: 20–25 patients
Average daily visits: about 4.5
Travel may range from 25–60 miles per day depending on territory and census
Potential float coverage to nearby locations, with primary need in Wausau
Mileage reimbursed at the government approved rate
Eligible for 36 hours of low-census unbillable time
May be placed on call during low-census hours and receive callback pay if called in
