Job Description
- Operate sophisticated equipment and provide patient care during catheterization procedures.
- Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations.
- Perform and interpret hemodynamic waveforms and electrocardiographic tracings.
- Operate and maintain fluorographic, digital image recording, laser, and electrophysiology equipment.
- Develop and monitor quality control policies and programs.
- Train staff cardiac technologists, fellows, and nursing staff on equipment function and safety procedures.
- Maintain inventory control systems and computer reports.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Studies OR completion of a Non-Degree Program Approved Cardiovascular Technology Program OR a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a cardiac cath or interventional radiology technologist.
Licenses & Certifications Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Additional Information
- Call requirement: 2 days per week and every 4th to 5th weekend, depending on staffing.
