Job Summary

• Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients during assigned shifts.
• Utilize nursing process, current nursing trends, technology, and resources to deliver care.
• Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
• Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
• Support professional development of peers through constructive feedback and collaboration.
• Adhere to departmental competencies and safety standards specific to Emergency Department nursing.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.
• Clinical experience within the last year.
• Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience.
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association.
  • One of the following trauma certifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS), or Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN).
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
