Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Emergency Department position in Normal, IL, requiring IL licensure, trauma certifications, and Epic EMR experience.

• Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department in Normal, IL
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Weekend coverage is flexible/rotating
• Holiday coverage is flexible/rotating
• No floating requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all American Heart Association), and TNCC, TNS, or TCRN
• Minimum 1 year of relevant ED nursing experience
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR charting experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care plan development and modification, nursing interventions, and accurate documentation in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
• Promotes a safe work environment through adherence to safety standards and reporting/correcting safety hazards
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• RTO may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at any Carle Health location for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
