Step Down RN Travel Contract

Overview

• Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• 1 year of experience in PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Floating required to like units within scope
• Every other weekend required
• 1 holiday required
• No on-call requirement

Clinical and Orientation Notes

• EPIC charting system used
• Pass/fail basic dysrhythmia exam may be administered during orientation
• NIH stroke certification may be required depending on unit
• TNCC and PALS may be required depending on unit

Pre-Start Requirements

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID
• E-Verify
• 2 professional references within 2 years of start
• Work history verification required for New Jersey candidates
• Background check and education verification
• Physical exam within 2 months of start
• Fit test within 12 months of start, completed before start
• Current Tdap vaccine or Tdap titer
• TB screening within 90 days of start
• Immunity or documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
• Drug screen within 60 days prior to start
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption prior to start

• Modules must be completed before orientation
• Local rate differential applies
