Assignment Details

Travel/Contract
13 weeks
Rotating shifts
Various days of the week
36 hours per week
12-hour shifts
Night: 19:00–07:00
Day: 07:00–19:00
Weekend work required per unit needs
On-call not required
Floating required as needed, including to sister facilities based on facility needs
36 staffed beds
Epic charting
Navy scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Experience in a Teaching Hospital setting
Oncology (2 years of experience)
Oncology experience within the last year
Surgical Oncology experience

Unit / Clinical Focus

Surgical oncology unit
Primarily cares for patients with known cancer diagnoses needing surgical interventions
Common procedures and diagnoses are related to the abdomen or pelvic area, including Gynecologic Oncology, Colorectal, Pancreatic, Liver, and Stomach
Provides post-op nursing care to help patients reach discharge milestones
No chemotherapy or biotherapy is administered on this unit
Chemo certification is not required

Preferred / Helpful

Prior experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 and may flex based on staffing and unit needs
