MS/Tele RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN position in Rochester, New York
• 13-week contract
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• First-time travelers accepted
• No locals accepted within 75 miles
• No on-call required
• May float within scope to like units, including ED boarders, ICU stable patients, medsurg, and acute brain injury stable patients
• Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed
• RTO limit: no more than 1 week in the contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Phlebotomy skills
• IV insertion skills
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Use of Rapid Response Teams
• Peripheral Line Care/Management
• Non-invasive airway management
• Experience with Epic

Preferred

• Epic familiarity

Unit / Clinical Setting

• MS/Tele RN
• Patient diagnoses include cardiac, pulmonary, pain, GI, infection, and unmanaged DM
• Special equipment includes bladder scanners, tele, EKG machines, and lifepacks

Additional Notes

• PCTs are available on all units for vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and ADLs
• Scrub color: any combo of navy and white
