Registered Nurse (L&D) - Travel/Contract

Location: Bellevue, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 hour days, 1845-0715


Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience
  • Experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D) with Magnesium Drips and C Sections
  • Must be able to float to Post-Partum unit as needed
  • EPIC experience required
  • Return to Office (RTO) must be 5 days or less
  • No block schedule; must be flexible
  • Must be available to work at least 2 of 3 holidays if scheduled

Certifications & Competencies

  • ACLS (AHA; RQI not accepted)
  • BLS (AHA; RQI not accepted)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required for Mother-Baby and L&D RNs (AHA; RQI generally not accepted)
  • PALS (if applicable)
  • State License (copy preferred)
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for RNs)
  • Competency Exam (must score 85% or higher)
  • Patient Restraints Competency Exam (required for all except Sterile Processing Techs)
  • Core Part I, II, III (annual, must score 85% or higher)
  • OSHA Mandatory (annual, must score 85% or higher)
  • IV Therapy/Infusion Exam (for RNs working in IV Therapy)

Health & Compliance Requirements

  • Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Social Security Number (not the card)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Immunizations and titers:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (highly preferred or declination)
    • Negative TB test (QGold, T-SPOT, or 2 PPDs within 1 year) or chest x-ray if positive TB history
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: titer with lab results or 2 vaccines; booster if titers negative/equivocal
    • Hepatitis B: titer, proof of series, or facility-specific declination
  • 10-Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination (required year-round)
  • COVID-19 vaccine optional; exemptions possible for immunocompromised

Background & References

  • Background check covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including:
    • SSN Trace
    • County, State, Federal, Nationwide, and National Sex Offender searches
    • International searches if applicable
  • Minimum two satisfactory references from previous employers within the last year, including clinical competency and reliability evaluations (manager, supervisor, or charge RN references accepted)

Additional Notes

  • Candidates will be assigned facility-specific modules to complete after orientation; completion is mandatory and monitored
  • Candidates must review and sign facility policies including Code of Conduct, Applicant Disclosure Statement, Confidentiality Policy, and Appearance/Dress Code
  • CMS Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) training required annually with proof of completion
