Job Details

  • Night shift (if applicable): Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation

• Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• Locals Accepted: No (local radius rule: 75 miles)
• Pending License: Accepted
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
• Special Requirements: Experience with Peritoneal Dialysis

Required Certifications

• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification (required for all nurses)
• Additional certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) – verify with unit specifics
• Certification cards of completion acceptable for up to 1 month until official card is issued

Required Licenses

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Missouri (Primary Source Verification required via NURSYS)
• Missouri licenses must be uploaded and verified
• Temporary licenses accepted with approval; permanent license required for extension

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred in specialty
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
• Must be able to float within scope
• Weekend shifts required as per schedule

Compliance & Background Checks

• Criminal background check within 6 months of start (7-year search including statewide, nationwide, and international if applicable)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required quarterly
• Education verification of highest nursing degree required before start
• Fingerprinting required for assignments in Illinois long-term care or rehab units (not applicable here)
• State-specific searches and registries as applicable (Missouri EDL, Highway Patrol, MO FCSR)
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include full panel and not expire during assignment

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
• Tdap vaccine or declination required (expires every 10 years)
• Negative TB test or equivalent within 1 year of start (2 PPDs or T-Spot/Q-Gold)
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity required (positive titer, vaccines, or MD statement)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Hepatitis B declination required (not mandatory to vaccinate)
• Drug testing as per panel required annually

Additional Requirements

• Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists required and must be updated annually
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
• Employment application and references required (2 professional references preferred)
• Various facility-specific documents and acknowledgements (HIPAA, confidentiality, hand hygiene, dress code, latex allergy, etc.) must be completed prior to start
• Orientation modules through WorkRamp required for all RNs (approx. 16 hours) unless completed in current calendar year

This position offers a structured schedule with guaranteed hours and requires a nurse with solid telemetry and nephrology experience, including peritoneal dialysis skills.
