Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, Nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) with holiday rotation
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: No
- Floating: Must be able to float within scope to all hospital areas, including labor and delivery
- Local Radius: 60 miles (no local candidates accepted)
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including recent experience within the last year
- Recent critical care experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Current certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- NBRC (RRT credential)
Additional Requirements
- Must provide proof of 2 clinical references
- Performance evaluation dated within 12 months of start required
- Complete application/resume required
- Must complete annual background checks including SSN trace, criminal, sex offender, and international searches
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Physical exam updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella titers or vaccinations
- Hepatitis B titer or vaccination/declination
- Varicella titer or vaccination
- Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption (seasonal requirement)
- COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
- Respirator clearance required annually via RespSafety questionnaire
Orientation and Facility Specifics
- Must complete orientation modules prior to start (approx. 4 hours)
- Clear, passport-style photo required for badge
- Must sign assignment acknowledgment, code of conduct, confidentiality agreements, and user access requests prior to start
- Facility uses Epic for charting
- Free parking available

- No radiation badge required for this role
- No block scheduling accommodations available
- Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered
