Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: Mobile MRI Technologist
• Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Holiday shifts required if they fall on scheduled days
• Overtime available
• No on-call required
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is expected
• Daily caseload varies

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• Certification: ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required

Facility & Work Environment

• Teaching hospital with Magnet status and Level 1 Trauma designation
• Total staffed beds: 865
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Teal top, black bottom
• Parking: Paid parking for nights and weekends; one-time parking pass fee applies
• Hurricane season (June-November) may require emergency response team participation

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of work eligibility (I-9 attestation)
• Copy of Driver’s License/State ID
• Social Security Card or SSN verification
• Background checks including criminal, sex offender registry, and employment history for past 7 years
• Education verification (diploma or transcripts preferred)
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug test within 90 days of start
• Physical exam updated annually, attesting ability to meet job demands
• Fit test for N95 mask within 90 days of start, renewed annually
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tdap within 10 years or declination form
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or vaccination series with boosters if needed
  • Hepatitis B: titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella: positive titer or vaccination series with boosters if needed
• Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start or appropriate follow-up if positive
• Annual TB questionnaire
• COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Aug-April) or medical/religious exemption accepted (no declinations)
• Color blindness test required prior to start
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable
• Competency exam required

Additional Notes

• Facility allows floating within scope to meet unit needs
• Radius rule: 60 miles
• Locals may be accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Facility may call off one shift per two weeks
• Orientation modules and first day instructions must be completed prior to start
• Passport-style photo required for badge issuance before start date
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references required
• Employment history verification of last 3 clinical employers required

This position is suitable for MRI Technologists with at least one year of experience, Siemens MRI equipment familiarity, and appropriate certifications. The role involves night shifts and requires flexibility for holidays and floating within the facility. Compliance with extensive health, background, and credentialing requirements is mandatory.
