Job Description & Schedule

• Dual Modality X-Ray Tech/CT Tech position requiring operation as both CT Tech and X-Ray Tech.
• Weekly floating to a free-standing emergency department one day per week.
• Scheduled shifts:

  • Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM (CT at hospital)
  • Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (X-Ray/CT at free-standing ED)
  • Thursday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (CT at hospital)
  • Friday: 1:30 PM – 9:00 PM (CT at hospital)
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM (CT at hospital)

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ARRT certification in CT
• Experience working in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system

Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification via AHA or ARC required.
• Florida clinical license appropriate for CT Tech required.
• Florida AHCA Level 2 fingerprint clearance required prior to start.

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant tests not accepted).
• Physical exam within 6 months of start, signed by DO, MD, NP, APRN, or PA, confirming ability to perform job without restrictions.
• Annual fit mask test required (approved masks: 3M 1860 Regular or 1860 Small only).
• Negative QuantiFERON TB test within 6 months of start (TSPOT and PPD not accepted).
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, positive titer, or declination)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
• Annual TB questionnaire.
• Completion of facility-specific online orientation and compliance modules prior to start.
• Two professional references from within the last 2 years required.
• Hurricane sign-up required (not guaranteed deployment).

Skills & Experience Highlights

• Must be skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media and starting IVs.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions.
• Experience with stroke and trauma protocols.
• Ability to work extended shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to float to a free-standing emergency department one day per week.

Work Hours

• 40 hours per week, primarily evening shifts as detailed above.

• Locals within a 60-mile radius considered.
• This is a travel/contract position with a 13-week duration.
