Registered Nurse - Infusion (Travel/Contract)

Location: West Hollywood, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (start time between 9:00-11:00 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: 6-8 weekend shifts per contract
• Floating: Not required
• On-Call: Not required
• Scheduling requests cannot be accommodated

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience, including infusion experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Chemotherapy certification (CHEMO) required
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) certification preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background check within 6 months of start, including:

  • 7-year county residence history
  • Nationwide criminal search
  • Sex offender search
  • Federal district court search
  • International criminal searches if lived outside U.S. in last 7 years
• Education verification of highest level completed
• Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to meet essential job functions
• Fit test for N95 or equivalent mask within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with additional requirements if history of positive TB)
• Immunizations/vaccinations required:

  • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer (measles, mumps, rubella)
  • Hepatitis B vaccine series, titer, or declination
  • 2 Varicella vaccines or positive titer (or proof of disease history)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination documentation required for flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
• Drug screening panel within 1 year (excluding marijuana/THC)
• Two professional references required, at least one supervisory

Competency and Testing Requirements

• Medication/pharmacology competency exam with minimum 80% passing score (2 attempts allowed)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required (3 attempts allowed; includes on-site exam at orientation)
• Pass/fail EKG assessment during orientation (specific units only)
• Medication test during orientation (not pass/fail)
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification check
• Fire safety card required within first 6 months of assignment (onsite course provided during orientation)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Photo for badge must be submitted and approved one week before start date; must meet strict photo guidelines (passport-style photo with centered face, bright lighting, plain background, no filters or accessories)
• Candidates must review and sign facility policies including:

  • Code of Conduct and Attendance Policy
  • Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work Practices
  • Social Media Policy
• Completion of assigned modules prior to start date
• Acknowledgement of job description and access levels

Additional Notes

• No scheduling accommodations will be made
• Active license and certifications must be current and verifiable before start
• Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered for this role

This position is ideal for experienced California-licensed RNs with infusion and chemotherapy certification who have prior travel contract experience and are comfortable with a fixed schedule including weekend shifts.
