Registered Nurse – Endoscopy (Travel/Contract)
Location: Pomona, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Day shift, 5x8 hours, 40 hours/week)
- Rotating weekends with shifts 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM on weekdays
- On-call required
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Certifications (based on unit)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) for Oncology RNs
- Critical Care RN (CCRN)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) – AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) for ER RNs
- NIH Stroke Certification for ER, ICU, MS/Tele, PACU, CVICU, Interventional Radiology
Required Background & Documentation
- Complete 15 years of work history with locations and any time off documented
- 2 professional references (manager, supervisor, Charge RN, or HR), including one from most recent experience
- Background check covering last 7 years plus Social Security trace for last 15 years
- National Criminal Search, Sex Offender Search, Education Verification, and applicable international searches
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days prior to start
- California Medi-Cal Exclusion Search within 30 days prior to start
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months clearing employee to work without restrictions
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol
- Tdap vaccine or declination within 10 years (Td not accepted)
- Immunity or vaccination records for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Hepatitis C
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (no instant tests)
- Annual flu vaccination or facility-specific declination form
- Fit test for 3M Aura 1870+ N95 mask (universal size) or approved onsite PAPR training if unable to pass
Competency & Training Requirements
- Annual Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam with minimum 80% score
- Annual Competency Exam with minimum 80% score
- Completion of facility-specific orientation packet and acknowledgment forms prior to start
- Completion of required training modules via LMS platform (WorkRamp), including Drug Diversion Module for RNs
- Signing of facility policies including Privacy and Security, Parking Regulations, Timekeeping, and Standard of Care Acknowledgement (specific units only)
Facility Specific Requirements
- Upload a badge photo on a plain blue background within 72 hours of signing
- Complete and sign Systems Access Request Form within 24 hours of signing (updated annually)
- Sign COVID-19 Exposure Questionnaire and vaccination declination forms if applicable
- Review and sign job description and training questionnaire prior to start
Additional Notes
- Fire Card is NOT required
- Radiation badges are not provided for new candidates; must be supplied by the facility if needed
- Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required for this position

Cath lab is super traveler friendly, easygoing docs, nice coworkers, super easy to get to the facility from surrounding areas, great about scheduling what you needed off, LOTS of outdoor activities to do within an hour of here! Safe gated parking area (called the Cage), hospital is clean and welcoming, staff usually pretty great in all areas I went.
Cons
DO NOT STAY IN POMONA, stay in surrounding areas (San Dimas, La Verne, Covina, Glendora, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Claremont are all good).
