Location
Oxnard, California
Contract Length
13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- Experience at Level III NICU
- Ability to attend deliveries
- Spanish-speaking
Clinical Setting
- Level IIIb NICU
- 16 beds
- Floating may include labor & delivery or postpartum to care for babies
- Charge nurse role available
- No nurse aides
- No IV team
- Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
Patient Population
- All gestational ages
- Premature infants
- Sepsis
- Cooling cases
- Substance abuse/withdrawal cases
Additional Notes
- COVID vaccine required
- Navy scrubs
- 2–3 shift orientation
- Ventilator and respiratory support equipment used in the unit
