Job Overview

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS certification
• Active ACLS certification
• RN license
• Must have strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and time management skills
• Must be able to perform phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, tele monitoring, and cardioversions
• Must be able to titrate drips
• Must be able to read own telemetry strips

Clinical Setting

• 32-bed unit with an average daily census of 17.5
• Patient ratios vary by area, including 5:1 on med-surg, 1:1 to 1:3 in ICU, and 1:2 to 1:4 in IMC
• Common patient types include COPD, pneumonia, AFib RVR, DKA, CIWA, and cardiac cases
• Unit uses bedside shift report and hourly rounding
• Two aides are scheduled each shift
• RT coverage is available 22 hours per day, 7 days per week

Schedule and Assignment Details

• Flex weekend and flex holiday coverage required
• No block scheduling or self-scheduling for agency nurses
• Low-census placement may occur
• Possible floating to the ED as a helping hand during code or trauma situations if assigned to the code team
• One day of orientation with an RN

Additional Notes

• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local rate
• If the clinician has ever worked for Marshfield, this must be noted in submission, and there must be an end date at least 6 months before submission if previously employed there
• Navy blue scrubs required; hoodies are not allowed
