Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Admissions

Location: Fargo, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide initial admissions and care for general medical/surgical patients on a 15-bed unit. This unit admits patients ready to be discharged from the ER but not yet assigned to a specific unit. The role involves working in a busy, fast-paced environment with a focus on medical/surgical care.

Required Qualifications

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Level 1 trauma center experience
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Certifications:
- BLS (AHA) certification required
Skills:
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Comfortable floating to other medical/surgical units as needed

Work Schedule

12-hour shifts (0700-1930 or 1900-0730)
Every other weekend and every other holiday off
No on-call required
Option to consider 36 hours per week

Unit Details

15 beds, all private rooms
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1 (day), 6:1 (night)
Equipment used: EPIC, Zebra phones, Omnicell medication system, Aleris IV pumps
Dress code: Navy blue scrubs

Prior travel experience is not specified as required
Local travel restrictions apply (travelers living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible)
