Outpatient Physical Therapist - Contract Position

Location: Annapolis, Maryland
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Days, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (40 hours/week)

Job Description

• Provide outpatient physical therapy services primarily for adults, adolescents, and geriatric patients.
• Manage a caseload averaging 55+ visits per day.
• Utilize case management and screening skills to build and maintain caseload.
• Perform gross motor assessments and evaluations.
• Treat a variety of orthopedic conditions including but not limited to:

  • Achilles tendonitis
  • ACL tear
  • Post-operative back pain
  • Calf strain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Disc herniation
  • Fractures and stress fractures
  • Generalized low back pain
  • Headache
  • Meniscus tear
  • Osteoarthritis and osteoporosis
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Postural dysfunction
  • Rotator cuff injuries (non-surgical and post-operative care)
  • SI joint dysfunction
  • Stenosis
  • Thoracic outlet syndrome
  • TMJ dysfunction
  • Total joint replacement
• Provide neuro skills treatment for Parkinson’s disease.
• Use electronic health record system (NextGen).
• Dress code: Business casual.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Maryland
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist within the last year
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with case management and screening/building caseload
• Knowledge and experience treating the following conditions:

  • Achilles tendonitis
  • ACL tear
  • Post-operative back pain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Headache
  • Meniscus tear
  • Rotator cuff injuries including non-surgical intervention and post-operative repair care
  • SI joint dysfunction
  • Stenosis
