Role Overview

Travel RN-ICU assignment in SICU (653)
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Shift: 7A-7:30P or 7P-7:30A
Weekend: Rotating
Call: No
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Floating is required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
Minimum 2-3 years or more ICU experience
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
Experience with CRRT

Preferred Qualifications

MICU background
MSICU background
IABP exposure
CRRT exposure
Meditech experience

Unit Details

Documentation system: Meditech
Procedures performed on the unit include chest tubes, tracks, GI scopes, intubations, central lines, art lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and dressing changes

Work Expectations

Badge in and out for each shift
Take a full 30-minute lunch
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts; clock-in time is 6:38 am/pm, and after 6:45 is considered tardy

Dress Code

Navy scrub top and pants for RNs
Navy or white scrub jacket
Clean, healthy nails
Hair must be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors
Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
Body art should be covered whenever possible
Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
