Overview

Travel RN role in San Antonio, Texas.
Unit: PIMC, located on Floor 6CT at Methodist Children’s Hospital.
24-bed unit.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Pediatrics (1 year of experience)
Pediatrics experience within the last year
BLS
PALS
High Flow Nasal Cannulas experience
Trach/home ventilator experience

Preferred Qualifications

Trachs
Home ventilator experience
High Flow Nasal Cannulas

Unit Details

Patient ratio: 3:1 or 4:1 depending on acuity
Staffed with 1 charge RN, 4-8 RNs on day shift, and 1 PCT/UC; night shift has 1 charge RN, 4-8 RNs, and 1-2 PCT/UC depending on census
Typical equipment includes trachs, home ventilators, feeding pumps, central lines, chest tubes, syringe pumps, and High Flow Nasal Cannulas
Typical procedures include central line care and High Flow Nasal Cannula use

Floating

May float to Children’s Tower, including Pedi Surgical, ED holds, NICU, and Pedi Hem/Onc

Schedule

Every other weekend required
