Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - Travel Assignment

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (18:00 - 06:30)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours (guaranteed)
Orientation: Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; availability for the entire orientation week is required.
Weekend and Call: As required by facility

Job Description

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physician orders.
• Consult with physicians regarding the effectiveness of respiratory therapy.
• Serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care.
• Care for Adult, Pediatric, and Neonatal patient populations.
• Perform duties as assigned within the respiratory department.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner within the last year
• Experience working with Adult and Pediatric patients

Work Environment

• Facility uses EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Night shift dress code requires black scrubs; torn clothes, open-toed shoes, and not wearing scrubs are unacceptable.

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted.
• Float and call duties as required by the facility.
