Unit and Patient Population
- Labor & Delivery, LDRP unit with 24 beds
- Patient population includes neonates and adults
- Patient ratios typically 1:6 (census ranges from 3 to 24 patients)
Shift and Hours
- Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (four 12-hour shifts per week)
- Self-scheduling
- 48 guaranteed hours weekly
- Call requirements apply
Required Certifications
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Preferred
- AWHONN Intermediate – Preferred
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in LDRP (Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum) and postpartum care
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
