Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (19:00 - 07:00)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours (option for 36 hours available)
Weekend Requirements: Every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
Holiday Requirements: Expected to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day)
Orientation: Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; availability required for the entire orientation week

Unit & Patient Population

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry
• Patient Mix: Approximately 50% Medical / 50% Telemetry adults only
• Patient Ratios: Estimated 4-6 patients per nurse
• Equipment: Standard nursing equipment for Telemetry unit
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all adult age groups
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes and comfort
• Practice within the scope of nursing consistent with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility standards

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements & Information

• Flu vaccination is mandatory for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; no declinations accepted
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• Dress code: Black scrubs required
• No call requirements
• Up to 5 days off per 13-week assignment can be automatically approved; additional time off requires leader approval and may need to be made up
• All offers are subject to final manager approval after interview within 24 hours of offer
