Facility Overview

• Level III trauma center with 198 beds
• Services include medical, surgical, rehabilitation, childbirth, cancer, nephrology, pediatrics, behavioral health, day surgery, imaging, and lab testing
• Located in a scenic area with outdoor recreational opportunities

Position Details

• Department: Rehabilitation / Occupational Therapy
• Specialty: Pediatrics Outpatient
• Shift: Days (7:00 am – 5:30 pm)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed / 40 scheduled
• Patient Load: 10-14 scheduled patients per day
• Patient Population: Pediatrics and special needs (including cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, autism, preemie babies)
• EHR System: Cerner
• Dress Code: Dark gray (pewter) top and black pants; scrubs or polo/button-up; no jeans
• Breaks: 30-minute unpaid lunch (12:30 pm – 1:00 pm)
• Mandatory Meetings: Attendance expected; if during lunch break, timecard adjusted to paid time

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pediatric Occupational Therapist license in New Mexico
• Minimum 1 year of recent Pediatric Occupational Therapist experience
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• Occupational Therapist experience
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Notes

• No weekend or call requirements
• Overtime must be pre-approved
• Patient diagnoses commonly treated include cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, autism, and care for preemie babies
• Time off and holidays to be determined
