Background & Compliance Requirements

7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
Education verification (highest level) required
Work history verification for 7 years
Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start; additional onsite drug screen during orientation (only one attempt allowed)
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- TB questionnaire annually if positive
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if negative/equivocal)
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history of chickenpox
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Additional Notes

Scrubs provided
Orientation and training may require fingerprinting (for certain locations)
Must complete unit-specific skills checklist annually
References and employment application required internally

This position is suitable for surgical technologists with at least 1 year of experience in surgical services, including a broad range of specialties, who are interested in a travel contract role in Texas. Prior travel experience is not required.
