Job Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Home Health
Location
- Dayton, Ohio (covering Dayton, Trotwood, West Carrollton region)
Employment Type
- Travel / Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift: 8:15 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)
- No on-call duties
Job Description
- Provide speech therapy services in a home health setting
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers
- Apply knowledge of speech therapy best practices and make appropriate clinical judgments
- Identify and resolve patient care situations with optimal solutions
- Maintain a detail-oriented, disciplined work ethic with strong prioritization and timeliness
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Ohio
- Driver's License
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background check and fingerprinting required prior to or at time of hire (Ohio-specific procedures apply)
- Drug screening (5-panel urine drug screen) required prior to start for home health candidates in certain states
- Immunization and health documentation may be required, including but not limited to:
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within the last year
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination form
- Flu vaccine or exemption during flu season (Nov-Apr) if applicable
- Photo for badge and professional license verification required
- Completion of facility-specific health and safety acknowledgments as applicable
