Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital (Travel/Contract)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Physical Therapy)
- Setting: Inpatient Acute Care
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5x8 hours)
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekend Coverage: One weekend day per month required; compensatory day off during the week provided
- Start Dates: Multiple start dates available (e.g., 7/28, 8/11, 8/25)
- No call and no float responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Maryland
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Valid driver’s license if driving is an essential job function
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- I9/E-Verify attestation required prior to start
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (does not include marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform job without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunization and health documentation including:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with additional requirements if history of TB)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Sept–March)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
- Photo for badge with specified requirements (clear, centered, no glare, solid background)
Experience and References
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
Additional Notes
- Hours may flex on Fridays to assist with PACU discharge coverage
- No call or float duties required
- Competency exams and other certifications may be required based on facility/unit specifics (not detailed here)
