Job Overview
Seeking an experienced CT Technologist to work in a Level I trauma center’s CT department. The role involves performing a variety of CT procedures in a fast-paced emergency room setting with emergent inpatient needs.

Shift Details
- Day shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Works every third weekend
- On-call approximately once every 10 weeks
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and brain perfusion
- Operate CT equipment to ensure high-quality imaging
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to maintain patient safety and comfort
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with regulatory standards
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent situations
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Licensure & Certifications
- BLS and ARRT certifications required
- AART Advanced certification preferred
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (verify during onboarding)
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific code 3701.881)
- Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending at start
- Education accreditation verification required
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 3 months of start (includes amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, cocaine, methadone, methaqualone, opiates, PCP, propoxyphene)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tdap (adult dose)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
- Fit mask testing required annually for inpatient/patient-facing roles (valid for entire assignment length)
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager or formal leadership
- Employment application and skills checklist required
- Unit-specific competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exams required prior to start
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for all RNs within 1 year of start (not applicable for this CT Tech role)
- Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
- Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and signed annually
