Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience, including critical care experience within the last year
Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner

Physical exam: Initial and updated annually, confirming ability to meet physical demands
Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if low titer
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination; boosters allowed if low/non-reactive titer
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if low titer
Tuberculosis screening:
- Negative 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold within 90 days of contract start (T-spot not accepted)
- If positive, chest X-ray proof required
- Annual TB questionnaire required
Drug screening: 10-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
COVID-19:
- Vaccination not required but highly preferred
- Vaccination records must be uploaded to facility system or a declination form completed
Respirator clearance: Annual medical clearance required via RespSafety questionnaire prior to start

Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including:
- SSN trace, state and national criminal checks, sex offender registry, FACIS 3, international searches
Employment verification: Last 3 clinical employers verified (not required for this facility)
References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
Performance evaluation: Must be dated within 12 months of start
Skills checklist: Must be updated annually for applicable units
