Interventional Radiology Travel/Contract Job – Seattle, Washington
Job Overview
- Role: Interventional Radiology (Dual Cath/IR role covering Radiology and Cardiology specialties)
- Start Date: July 13
- Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (variable days including weekends), shift times approximately 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Call: 4-5 on-call shifts per month required
- Caseload: Daily coverage includes 4 Angio Suites and 2 Operating Rooms
- Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- ARRT certification required
Schedule and Floating
- Floating to sister facilities is not required
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- Local candidates accepted; no local radius restrictions
- Maximum of 6 days off per pay period allowed
- Facility may cancel 1 shift per every 2-week pay period
Certifications & Competencies
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred/required as per unit standards
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., NIH Stroke Certification, Crisis Prevention Institute)
- Pass/fail competency exams required, including medication and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams for relevant units
- Conscious sedation competency exam required if working in GI Lab/Endoscopy or certain Ambulatory Care areas
Background and Licensing Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check required within 45 days of start, including nationwide and sex offender searches
- Education verification required (diploma or transcript acceptable)
- Primary source verification of Washington State license required
- WA State WATCH search required
- Drug screening required within past 12 months (not required for subcontractors)
- Two professional references required
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start (not required by facility but required by agency)
- Mask fit test within 12 months of start (specific mask models required)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination on file
- Negative TB test (Qgold, Tspot, or 2-step PPD within 90 days) or chest X-ray if positive TB history
- Annual TB questionnaire required (except Micro Lab candidates)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity via titer or vaccination series or declination
- Hepatitis B immunity or declination; vaccine series and titer requirements apply
- Varicella immunity via titer or vaccination or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (September 29 - March 31)
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination required for tracking purposes
- Meningococcal vaccine required for Microbiology lab techs
Facility-Specific Documentation
- Professional badge photo required (waist up, clear lighting, simple background, no hats)
- Signed license acknowledgment and equipment safety forms
- Signed health history, policies and procedures acknowledgment, job description, PCIS agreement, and personal data forms
- Background packet including personal data form, national background check form, driver’s license copy, WATCH search results, OIG/SAM, and NSO forms
- Completion of orientation modules and testing prior to start (modules take approximately 2-3 hours)
- Orientation testing is pass/fail with 80% passing score required; failure results in cancellation

- Floating within scope of practice to meet facility needs may be required
- Facility provides shuttle service for offsite parking on weekdays (no nights or weekends)
- Candidates must complete all pending license requirements (e.g., fingerprinting) prior to starting if holding a temporary license
- Suicide prevention training required for nurses using multi-state licenses working in Washington State
- Candidates declining vaccines must complete facility and agency declination forms and understand potential furlough implications if contracting communicable diseases
