Medical Lab Technician - Travel/Contract

Location: Carmel, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Shifts: Alternating shifts primarily on second shift (14:00-22:30 & 23:00-07:30), Monday-Friday with rotating weekends (every 3rd weekend)
  • Hours:
    • 8 and 10 hour shifts totaling 40 hours/week
    • Option for 3 twelve-hour shifts (36 hours/week) or 4 twelve-hour shifts (48 hours/week)
  • Work sites: Must be able to travel daily between three hospital locations within the region and work independently at all sites
  • Unit: Full-service hospital with cancer center for adults and children; 150 beds with 24/7 ER
  • Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care

Required Qualifications

  • Medical Lab Technician with at least 1 year of experience
  • Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year

Health Requirements

  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
  • Tuberculosis screening (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella (chickenpox)
    • Hepatitis B (series, titer, or signed declination)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (9/30 - 3/31); medical or religious exemptions require approval
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination strongly recommended
  • Fit mask testing within 12 months (N95 or approved respirators) unless exempted by position
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start date
