Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Sunday - Tuesday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Caseload: Approximately 6 scans per hour
- On-call: Yes, rotation with staff
- Floating: Floating within scope to meet facility needs; floating to sister facilities required
- Radiation Badge: Must be provided by the agency (not provided by facility)
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Minimum 6 months Level 1 Trauma experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT RT (R) (CT) certification
- SCRQSA (R) (CT) certification
Facility & Work Environment
- Teaching hospital with Magnet status and Level 1 Trauma designation
- Total staffed beds: 865
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub color: Teal top and black bottom
- Parking: Nights and weekends only, one-time payment for parking pass
Important Notes
- Radius Rule: 60 miles
- Locals: Accepted on a case-by-case basis
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks
- Hurricane Season: June through November; travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during this time
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Proof of work eligibility (I-9, Social Security Card, Driver’s License/State ID)
- Background checks including criminal, sex offender registry, and employment verifications
- Education verification or diploma/transcripts as placeholder
- Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start
- Physical exam updated annually
- Fit test for N95 mask within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccines)
- Varicella (positive titer or vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Flu vaccine required during flu season or medical/religious exemption (no declinations accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start, with annual TB questionnaire
- Color blindness test prior to start
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Radiation exposure attestation for those requiring radiation badge
- Facility-specific orientation modules and first day instructions must be completed prior to start
- Passport-style photo for badge required before start
Additional Certifications (if applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - as required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - as required
- IV Therapy certification - for select LPNs if applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification - required for ER units
