Registered Nurse - CVICU (Travel/Contract)

Location: Melbourne, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 18:45 - 7:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Work Settings: Neuro ICU, SICU
• Floating: Required to float to multiple hospital locations within the system, primarily ICU units before PCU.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period (unit dependent).
• Holiday Requirement: Must work at least one major holiday (e.g., Memorial Day or 4th of July).
• Call: No on-call required.
• Block Scheduling: Possible, subject to unit manager approval.
• Guaranteed Hours: Contracted hours guaranteed.
• Scrubs: Any solid color, matching.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience within the last year
• Experience in Neuro ICU
• Experience in SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Notes

• No prior travel experience required, but first-time travelers are not accepted for this role.
• Floating may include interfacility assignments for critical staffing needs.
• Hurricane season (starting in May) requires pre- and post-storm work availability.
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers.
