Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Baltimore, Maryland
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays required as scheduled
- Floating required within the specialty, with lower-acuity assignments as needed
- On-call may be required
- Adult and geriatric patient population
Required Qualifications
- Valid Maryland RN license
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- 2 years of CVICU experience
- CVICU experience within the last year
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
- CPI
- NIH Stroke Certification

- CCRN preferred
Unit Details
- CICU/CVICU setting
- 15 beds
- Average daily census of 10
- Typical ratio is 1:1, with up to 3 patients for stable, lower-acuity assignments
- Common cases include cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, MI, pulmonary hypertension, advanced therapy workups, mechanical circulatory support, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and hypertensive urgency/emergency
- Procedures and therapies include bedside central and arterial line insertions, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, Swan/PA catheter insertion, targeted temperature management, and CRRT
- Equipment includes Impella, VAD, IABP, CRRT, ventilator, cooling device, and CCO monitor
