Job Opportunity: RN NICU
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Registered Nurse (Direct Care)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient conditions, and intervene as necessary.
- Administer medications and regulate intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver competent patient care and communicate care plans to patients and families.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing experience within the last year.
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required.
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Skills
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Basic computer skills.
