• 12 hours per day
• 36 hours per week

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Charge

Job Details

• Hospital-based clinical nursing role
• Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process
• Care includes patients with complex problems
• Performs bedside point-of-care testing as needed
• Works with interdisciplinary teams
• May function in a charge role or precept nearly every shift
• Unit may care for both acute care and step-down neurological patients
• Typical assignments may be up to 5 patients

Preferred Education

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing
