Job Description

Conducts, facilitates, develops, and monitors activities related to surveillance, investigation, analysis, interpretation, reporting, prevention, and control of infections and communicable diseases.
Participates in assessing, implementing, and maintaining a culture of safety across the continuum of care.
Supports delivery of safe, patient-centered, quality care.
Collaborates with various departments to improve outcomes and patient experience.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and infection control standards.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
No weekends
7 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
Minimum 2 years of experience in infection control, including experience within the last year
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) issued by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
