Job Description
- Conducts, facilitates, develops, and monitors activities related to surveillance, investigation, analysis, interpretation, reporting, prevention, and control of infections and communicable diseases.
- Participates in assessing, implementing, and maintaining a culture of safety across the continuum of care.
- Supports delivery of safe, patient-centered, quality care.
- Collaborates with various departments to improve outcomes and patient experience.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and infection control standards.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekends
- 7 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
- Minimum 2 years of experience in infection control, including experience within the last year
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) issued by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
