Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN-OR)

Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM

Job Summary

• Provide perioperative nursing care including patient assessment, preparation, and positioning on the operating table.
• Execute nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and physician orders.
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team members while managing urgent or emergent situations.
• Serve as communication liaison between the operating team and patient’s family.
• Maintain professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Complete Safe Surgery checklist verification and all circulating duties efficiently.
• Assist in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
• Demonstrate ongoing professional growth through goal setting and educational participation.
• Utilize computer programs relevant to patient care documentation.
• Participate willingly in assigned call schedules.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, with recent OR experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Certification in CRCST, CBSPD, or NBSTSA.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
