Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical care for a long-term assignment in Wichita, Kansas. This role requires delivering high-quality nursing care in a medical/surgical setting.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN
Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
MOAB De-Escalation Training
Successful completion of the Ascension EKG Exam

Health and Safety Requirements

Proof of immunizations or immunity for MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B.
Influenza vaccine required during flu season (October 1 through March 31); mask required if declined.
TB screening with 2-step PPD or IGRA testing and chest X-ray if positive.
Fit testing for respiratory protection (annual).
12-panel drug screen with Medical Review Officer (MRO) review if applicable.

Onboarding and Compliance

Completion of core competencies and skills checklist relevant to Medical/Surgical specialty.
Passing score of at least 80% on EKG exam and other required assessments.
Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references.
Background checks including social security trace, OIG search, national sex offender registry, and EPLS.
Documentation of good health or physical exam prior to assignment start.
Driver’s license or state ID must be current and valid.
