Job Opportunity: RN Step Down
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Job Description
- Work in a unit based on greatest need: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Medical-Surgical, or Telemetry Acute Care.
- Must have 2 years of experience in PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry Acute Care.
- Candidates with experience as Med-Surg or Stepdown RN are eligible (same credentialing).
- Flexibility to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 2 years of Stepdown experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
- Experience in Med-Surg and Telemetry.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

- Must submit a professional resume/profile and complete all credential verifications prior to assignment.
- Onboarding includes completion of multiple required modules and documentation uploads.
- Optional unit-specific checklist may be required by unit leadership within one week of start.
- Must be able to work extended hours and float as needed within a 40-mile radius.
This position is ideal for experienced RNs with a strong background in step-down, telemetry, or med-surg acute care who are flexible and able to adapt to varying unit needs.
