Job Description

• Position: Inpatient Dietitian
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Start Date: ASAP
• First-time travelers are welcome

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required
• Registered with the American Dietetics Association
• Ohio Dietitian license required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty (Dietitian)
• Teaching experience in patient care, classroom, or community setting preferred
• Prior travel experience not required

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Ohio Dietitian license (active and valid)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required (preferred but not always mandatory)
• Other certifications as applicable to the role and facility requirements

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Background check: 7-year criminal history, updated annually
• E-Verify documentation
• Fingerprinting (FBI and BCI) within 12 months of start
• Education verification from an accredited program
• Physical exam within 12 months, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (no declinations accepted)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) proof of vaccination or titers
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Drug screening (9 or 10 panel) within last 12 months
• References: 2 recent clinical references within 1 year
• Employment application including 2 years prior clinical work history in acute care or similar setting
• Unit-specific competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as required
• Completion of facility onboarding and safety modules

Additional Notes

• Candidates must comply with facility-specific policies including professionalism, appearance, and medication management
• HealthStream modules and other mandatory training must be completed promptly upon orientation
• Some roles may require additional certifications or competencies depending on unit assignment
